STEADY
Niagara Falls, Canada
There are moments in life when the noise is so loud that it feels impossible to hear anything else.
Standing beside these falls, I was struck by their power. The water rushed with incredible force, the mist filled the air, and conversation became nearly impossible. Yet beneath all that movement was something unexpected: deep sense of steadiness. The falls were powerful, but they weren't frantic. They simply continued doing what they were created to do.
Our lives can feel much the same. Responsibilities pile up. Emotions surge. News, deadlines, and disappointments create their own kind of roar. Sometimes we mistake all that noise for instability.
But steadiness isn't the absence of noise, it isle arning to remain anchored even when life is loud.
Today, take just two minutes to study this image. Notice where your eyes naturally settle. Is it the rushing water? The mist? The rocks in the foreground? The distant horizon? There is no right answer. Simply observe.
Then ask yourself:
Where can I find steadiness today, even if my circumstances remain unchanged?
You may not be able to quiet every storm around you. But you can learn to quiet the part of yourself that believes you must be swept away by it.
One breath.
One moment.
One choice at a time.
Stay steady today. 🌿
